Should you buy “new” technology?
It depends on your personality type.
Certain individuals are inevitably more open to change than others:
Roger’s Innovation Adoption curve, pictured on the left, helps us understand that our own personalities affect our appetite for change. Roger divides us into five categories according to our openness to change.
Innovators and early adopters are generally dissatisfied with the status quo and assume that change is for the better, maybe for some psychological reason. Sometimes innovators buy because there is a coolness factor.
